Counting our blessings, this is the first time she's had a reaction to shots. She seemed great yesterday afternoon and slept wonderfully all night. She took an extremely long morning nap though (almost 3 hours!) and was burning up. So I took her temp with the digital ear thingy and it beeped like crazy...I knew before I looked at the numbers that she had a fever. I gave her Tylenol and called the doctor just to be on the safe side. She seemed to be in fairly good spirits, but I could tell she wasn't feeling well. She only a took a half hour nap later in the afternoon, refused her dinner (I gotta say, the beef with beef gravy didn't smell all that appetizing) and conked out by 7:30. I felt so bad for her. Now she's fast asleep and I'm downing the martinis Chris made for me. It's been a trying day.

Aw, that is pitiful. Emma Kate had a reaction at her 4 month shots. She was miserable and I know how you feel. Those martinis sound quite appetizing though! I hope you enjoyed your evening better than seeing your poor baby in misery.
Poor thing, I know how you feel -- Hail's reacted to her second round of baby shots, but knock on wood -- she's been fine with all sets since then! Way to stay strong mama, Tylenol is a mama's best friend -- be sure to keep baby motrin on hand too in case she ever has a fever bad enough you have to rotate the two, we've been there before.
Macy Grace reacted after her 3 month and 6 month. Your poor lil lovely girlie, keep loving on her and I would put a cool rag on her just to keep her from over heating!
Thanks everyone! She's back to her happy, smiley self this morning. Phew!
My daughter reacted badly to her 6-month shots too. She was fine w/ all the others, but she ran a fever for about 36 hours afterward. I was a nervous wreck b/c we were leaving on vacation 2 days after her shots; luckily the evening b/f she was fine.
