I believe you need time with the first child before introducing a another baby into the household. I think 2.5-3 years is idea at least for us. I dont want to miss out on the first few years milestones with the first baby before we add sibling. Everyone is pregnant right now though :)

I voted for 2.5-3 years but I think between 2 and 2.5-- my cousins are all spaced out that way and so are my aunt and uncle... we are hoping our kids will be that way (crosses fingers!)

i voted 2.5-3. i'd like more time with just DD before having another. also, i did not have an easy pregnancy the first time and i couldn't fathom potty training and being pregnant at the same time. so we will wait until she is potty trained! i have an older brother that is 2.5 years older than me and a younger brother that is 4 years younger than me. i am much closer with the older bro bc we went through a lot of the same things together, including high school.

We are totally trying to figure this one out...of course all the planning in the world can't guarantee spacing, which makes it more stressful... It is just so hard to plan for #2 when I look at my daughter and think that it means the end of our special Mommy-Daughter time.
Good luck with your decision!

I voted 2 years or less - but that's what's best for our family. I don't think there's any perfect age difference. It depends on your family and lifestyle and what works best for you.

I agree with Jenifer...having a new baby I realize how much attention it takes away from Jacob right off the bat and I'm glad that I was able to have all that special one on one time with him before adding to the brood. Also, Jacob is better able to understand things when I explain them...like "I am nursing right now so why don't we just read a book" and he is okay with it. Plus he is old enough to be a big help (go grab mommy a diaper for Charlie). I could go on and on...

I think it all depends on your family and what you want. I have friends that have waited less than a year and some that have waited 3 plus years. Since it took us so long to conceive we will start to try when baby is around 7 months. We are not sure how long it will take, but if only takes one try than great! I think it would be nice to have children close in age, and that way we can always do things as a family. Like going to parks etc, we wont have one kid on the baby swings and one kid who wants to go on different things, hopefully they will all be close enough to stay together.

I voted for 2 years or less because that's what I'm headed for and I have to believe it's going to be awesome for the sake of my own sanity. LOL. -And- I'm trying to sway your decision to TTC #2 to sooner than later. ;-) We'll probably have a third and at this point I'm thinking we'll wait until this baby is 2 before we TTC #3, but that has a lot to do with how having two under two goes! Being pregnant with a young toddler has been difficult for me but I don't have great pregnancies either, which I think would make a big difference. Really, I think every age gap has its pros and cons, and, unless you put a really significant age gap in between siblings, you're still going to run into challenges with taking care of two small children. However, on the plus side of having them close together in age, I have heard that when your kids are closer in age than there is normally less of a jealousy issue and more of a chance they will be close buddies growing up. I'm hoping that's the case with my boys!

so...u preggers yet??? I think 2 years apart is great. you get good QT w/the first one, she will be about out of diapers when the new one comes, and they are still close enough in age to enjoy the same activities. If you 2 are ready, just do it. I think Audrey would be a great big sister as well!! All I know is that Jason and I are can't wait to get pregnant again! Yeah babies!!
